Stress & Weight Gain, the Diet Connection

Next time that you find yourself locked inside a stressful situation, take note of what you eat.

Food is naturally comforting to the body; if we didn't enjoy eating, we simply wouldn't exist unless we were willing to force feed ourselves.

Because food is comforting, and generally a pleasant experience, during times of stress we seek those things in life that give us enjoyment, comfort and contribute to a pleasant experience - such as our favorite music, video or foods.

If you find that you've picked up unwanted weight, it may indeed be attributed to stress.

We may not even be experiencing a moment of hunger. We may not care if we are hungry or not; we are just seeking comfort and something that will associate us with a pleasant experience in life.
