There Gloria sat with her plate of salad and mini-corn muffin.  Everything was going so well on her diet plan.  One week on the diet plan and she had already shed five unwanted pounds!  Only thirty more to go.  At this rate, she would have need of shopping for a new swimsuit for summer.  How exciting!

Shortly after lunch, she returned to her cubical when Ryan walks in and offers her a nugget of chocolate (think of this as a cute miniature poodle).  Gloria smiles wanly, thanks him, and politely refuses.  An hour later, she leaves her office for her afternoon pit stop and passes by Dawn's desk. A beautiful cake is resting on the edge of her counter (think of this as a darling Doberman), compliments of a local vendor to the department. Bravely, Gloria continues to the restroom, resisting diet temptation.

On her way back, several co-workers have gathered around and are slicing off the cake. Again, Gloria resists and flees back to the safety of her office.
