Water Retention UnleashedThose salty fries were so tasty for lunch today, but now you're weighted down with Evil Hip Bloat. Salt (sodium) tends to collect water in the body, so after a salty food is consumed, the body is apt to retain water. Keep in mind that we are almost entirely made up of water. It may take 3 to 4 days for the penned up water to release - but, the good news is that there are a few things that work in ridding the water faster from the body. Oddly enough, one of the best eradicators of retained water is water. Water helps flush sodium out of the body, thereby getting rid of bloat and unwanted 'temporary' water weight. Some other foods that will help eradicate water retention include: asparagus, apples, melon, beets and cranberries.
